Ode To The Wind by Nicole Terry
I give to the wind my naked Body. In return for the gorgeous gift of your warm breath that had, once, twice, thrice! swam through my body in those dogged months till summer I loved so, dear.
I devote to the wind my undying Love. In return for the magnificence you have given me. Over and over in our many repose For that cold night last winter when you had blown into my open window, throwing secrets of oblivion and a faint whisper of a spring I yearned to see.
I promise to the wind my Soul. In return for the memories of your hot, sultry hands, sticky with heat, on those many days of unseen summer wonders.
I bestow to the wind my Life. In return for your strong arms of eternal Autumn to wrap around me in a hug of passion as I fall without forever release into you again.
