  By All Means Necessary
by Nicole Terry

breezy
call it easy
if you will
another beautiful spring
the sound of children make your head spin
it’s not fake
no mistake their laughter
decided to shine today
don’t wait for the end
it’s a long time til then
grasp today
make it mine
or call it yours
civil rights is just the choice
of but one voice
regurgitate your egotistical knowledge of things
it’s more simple than not
to spread the disease and watch
the young ones rot(?)
I don’t think so
or hope not
the devil wings aren’t that hot to touch
the spirit is a miracle of enlightenment
righteousness
or a brilliant end to an elaborate illusion
it’s been proven
war & hate are profitable
but peace & love is a crown we should offer though
the movement
the counterculture revolutionized
evolution of enhanced minds spinning philosophical vibes of reason
Freedom!
the cry of repressed races
hate on white & black faces
it’s not about black power
or white supremacy
it’s all hatred & that ain’t power
it’s the fear of cowards
who’ve found a cause in ignorance
What does that mean?
that ignorance is the true enemy
Remember
it says one nation under God
one people
united as socialized beings
Wake up from the thumbprint of a dying era
embrace the new creed
of a king who dared to dream
the vision of a man who chose knowledge as his weapon
Let’s not assassinate what has yet to prosper
our future, our hope
grab tight the rope
let down from the skies
there’s no justice in lies
Let peace, not violence be the champion
this is the new beginning
& we’ve all got a dream to carry
by all means necessary
